Ron Busch

Bio: Ron lives in the District, has a lovely bride, 2 sons and 1 daughter.  Ron likes to hunt, fish, camp and golf when time allows.  Ron is committed to the safety of our communities and the employees of the District.

Educational Background: Ron has 120 + units of upper division Fire Science service management.

Career History: Ron began as a Volunteer in Glen Ellen, worked 5 seasons with Cal Fire in Sonoma County, 10 years with Ukiah Valley Fire District and 25 years with Windsor and Sonoma County Fire District.  Ron has served as the Deputy Chief of Operations for the last 2 years.  Through the years Ron has been involve in command and control of several large-scale disasters that have occurred in Sonoma County and thru out the State of California.  His most recent accomplishments we the creation of the Sonoma County Fire District over seeing the consolidation of multiple Fire Districts.  Chief Busch oversees operations of SCFD and a staff of 120 employees.  Ron has been committed to the fire service for over 40 years
